No we didn't drink the beer, but they saved the french fries for last- and Mickey was excited!!

Day 8- Shopping in Old Shanghai
We left for shopping in Old Shanghai at 9:30. This is where everyone bargains shops and negotiates. We spent about 2 hours there, and our first stop was the best- STARBUCKS!! It was very cold and breezy and the cafe' mocha hit the spot, and Anna and Mickey had cheesecake! We then went to another authentic Chinese restaraunt for lunch- not as good as the day before, but the kids all loved it, including the seaweed. Got stuck in traffic on the way home, and you can see below what Anna thought about it. Later for dinner we went out for Italian- and it was decent. We had garlic bread, pasta carbonara and Mickey had pizza (for the 4th time). Tomorrow is the zoo and our flight out at 4:30, so will have to play catch up when we get time.

Love the last picture of her sleeping on Mickey! Thanks so much for sharing your journey with everyone! We're praying that things continue to go well and you all make it home safely. Can't wait to meet little Anna!
This is so fun to read, what an experience, sounds like China has a lot of U.S. francises....do they speak English over there? Just wondering...you're all in thoughts and prayers..Jim and Doris-Idaho
